Medsolutions
a design coup case study
Challenge
MedSolutions is a leading provider of Radiology Benefit Management (RBM) Services to health plans. Unfortunately, a maturing market began to limit sales opportunities to the few remaining, smaller commercial plans that had not chosen an RBM vendor.
STRATEGY
Design Coup helped MedSolutions develop Premerus, a new subsidiary that focuses on diagnostic accuracy. It allowed MedSolutions to tap a broader market that includes health plans with an existing RBM vendor. Premerus was launched as an entirely new business entity, including branding, Web, and sales force. Design Coup developed a multifaceted business launch.
Results
Premerus has completed a beta launch in Phoenix and is being rolled out nationally. Premerus has moved to center stage in MedSolutions marketing efforts and is no longer presented as a separate entity.
SOLUTION PORTFOLIO
Premerus Branding
MedSolutions wanted a single word domain for its new subsidiary – a not-so-easy challenge. After multiple rounds of product name ideas, “Premerus.com” was chosen and secured for the new subsidiary.
Premerus Website
Premerus was rolled out nationally through an informative Web site. The site includes a multimedia sales presentation to introduce diagnostic accuracy as a new healthcare paradigm.
Advertising
Multiple campaigns targeted health plans, employers and employees. Design Coup created the “Wendy” campaign, based on the cost and pain suffered by an actual employee receiving a misdiagnosis.
Direct Mail
“When she was diagnosed with cancer, the last thing on her mind was work.” The front panel opens to reveal that Wendy’s diagnosis was wrong, but the anxiety and loss of productivity was real. This mailer introduced Premerus “diagnostic accuracy” to the industry.
AHIP Trade Show Campaign
MedSolutions made Premerus its central story for AHIP – the annual event for health plans. The theme, “Every Picture Tells a Story” dramatizes the accuracy of diagnostic imaging with Premerus. The campaign included:
Digital Picture Frames – Personalized mailers invited executives attending the show to visit the booth and receive a free digital frame – complete with a Premerus slide show.
Digital Key Chains – A smaller version of the sales presentation was loaded onto digital key chains as giveaways.
USB Drives – A full multimedia presentation was handed out on branded thumb drives.
AHIP Collateral – Additional material included direct mailers, room drops, card key messaging and more.
