WEbOps Logistics

a design coup case study

Challenge

WebOps has developed the first enterprise-wide, handheld-based logistics solution for medical device distributors. In launching the product, the company faced several marketing hurdles. Sales prospects are hard to identify; the product is complex to explain; plus customers must revamp their logistics system to use WebOps.

STRATEGY

WebOps wanted to quickly and efficiently tell the WebOps story, so Design Coup created a sophisticated multimedia/video. Coffee gift cards were used as a direct mail incentive to get prospects to view the 5-minute presentation. A new corporate identity, website and sales collateral were part of the campaign.

Results

The Web site and direct mail campaign resulted in over a dozen solid leads, including a leading global manufacturer of medical devices. The new Web site delivered a clear benefit message while creating a sense of credibility and substantiality to the new company. The WebOps campaign received a Hermes Gold Award for design and execution.

SOLUTION PORTFOLIO

Branding

WebOps sought an entirely new corporate identity. Key requirements were that the brand be clean, yet visually distinctive. “Web” & “Ops” needed to be visually distinct. In the new logo, the “b” acts like a magnifier, revealing “granular data” – a core function of the company’s logistics solution.

Website

As a small company, the WebOps website plays a key role for sales & marketing, customer support and user access. The new site includes several Flash and video presentations for sales, customer support, training and more.

Multimedia Product Presentation

How do you explain a complex logistics application, like WebOps, in 4 minutes over the web? That was the challenge this Flash multimedia presentation was designed to meet.

Product Direct Mail / Brochure

This key collateral piece performs multiple functions for WebOps. The mailer version includes a Starbucks incentive to view the Web video. The brochure version works as a standalone sales piece. The 11x17 three-panel format maximizes value from the digital color press size.

Corporate Overview Pocket Folder

This versatile pocket folder also serves as a high-level corporate brochure. The circle graphics emphasize the WebOps logistics process.
