Bruce Miller, Senior Writer and Principal, is a graduate of the UCLA Motion Pictures/Television where he was selected by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Student Awards for his work.
Earlier in his career, Bruce owned Commonwealth Communications, a Los Angeles-based media production company that produced presentations for some of the nation's leading corporations and organizations.
Later, Bruce owned Miller Multi Media in Atlanta. The firm specialized in creative content for corporate video, multimedia production and marketing communications. Clients included Kimberly-Clark, IBM, Bell South, AT&T, MCI, United Parcel Service, the United Nations and many others.
Bruce Miller started Design Coup Inc. in 1998 with Michael Higgins. Together, Higgins and Miller have done career creative work for 16 Fortune 500 companies, plus numerous prestigious organizations over the course of their careers.
Bruce is an avid sailor, political junkie and yoga enthusiast. He and his wife Karen, a chaplain at Emory Hospital, live in a 100+-year-old house in Decatur.
Michael Higgins, Creative Director and Principal, is a graduate of the Georgia State University Graphic Design program and the Art Institute of Atlanta.
In the early 90s, Michael created numerous national POP marketing campaigns for Coca Cola, Delta, McDonald's and others with Germersheim.
In 1996 Michael became Creative Director for Checkfree Corporation where his work with Bruce Miller introducing e-billing to the industry received the MAX Award for the number one marketing campaign of the year. The award recognized their innovative introduction of electronic billing to the marketplace.
Michael and his wife Jennifer are parents to three young children all born on the same birthday.
George Farkas, Art Director and Interactive Designer, is a graduate of the Georgia State University Graphic Design program. Before coming to Design Coup, George worked with CheckFree Corporation and with Primal Screen, a broadcast design company.
George has guru-like abilities in multiple creative technologies and is the engine that makes Design Coup's renowned "straight-to-execute" capabilities possible.
George oversees Flash, Web and e-Marketing for Design Coup.
Melissa Machen, Production/Project Manager, is Design Coup's multi-tasking maven who gets projects out the door on time.
Melissa has a sales and marketing background in the area of consumer packaged goods, including for Sunshine Biscuits. For the last eleven years, she has provided her production management skills to Atlanta marketing agencies.
Melissa has in-depth knowledge of the print production process and provides the critical glue between the client, agency and vendor.
